Unless you are familiar with the area, you may have a little trouble finding this charming little restaurant. The decor is pleasing and the service is attentive. The pastas are well prepared, and the veal is very good. The pizza is a pleasant surprise. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Piazza Bistro:
The management of this property does not function well under pressure. There was a street festival in Manotick last evening, and the owner of the restaurant for his untrained staff to accommodate. While most of the young people, who had never really worked at this...More View all feedback.
We stopped here for a late lunch. I had the mushroom flatbread. Lots of mushrooms, spinach and hummus. I would never have thought to put hummus on a flatbread but it works. My husband had the French onion grilled cheese which was yummy. If the weather is nice, opt for the back patio. Very good service. Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful visit at the pub. Really enjoyed the outdoor courtyard. Great atmosphere. Bday boy received a free shot. The duck confit Poutine was the best ever. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Service was friendly.
We were a group of 10 split into 2 tables of 5. One group received their food in about 40 minutes and the other group waited 2 hours. Brutal service. Manager blamed it on the kitchen missing our order but why would it take 2 hrs to notice something like that after we repeatedly asked them where the food was. We ordered burgers and saw plate after plate of burgers pass our table and be given to those who were seated after us. The burger I had was very dry and tasteless, the jerk lamb burger was completely black and burnt for two orders. The beer we were served was lukewarm. After 2 hours of waiting we asked to settle the bill for the beers so we could find food elsewhere and then all of a sudden our food arrived. What a nice coincidence. We received 50% off our bill for our troubles but it was too little too late for a miserable wait for expensive inedible food.
I was pleasantly surprised with my recent visit to The Brig, the food was outstanding! I will be back for sure!
I have been to the Brig several times and had their nachos (don't think, just order) among a variety of local beers. This time I opted for one of their feature menu items, Green Curry Salmon and was not disappointed. It was just enough to fill me up but want more from the variety of flavors presented on the plate! Not one for adventure, I will happily order another feature item from their menu in the future and return for their friendly service.
