"The food is some of the best you will ever eat. Lots of atmosphere. If it is busy, make sure you follow the unwritten rules of getting a table. Wait in line and wait your turn. The waitresses don't seat you the customers seat themselves. Don't try to be a wise guy and butt ahead of someone who has been waiting longer than you. YOU WILL GET CALLED OUT ON IT. Trust me we have done it."

"Comfortable, casual but with better than typical college town food. Service was great even though they were busy. Got jambalaya pasta, and shrimp and grits both were made with the exact same sauce but it was super flavorful, a bit spicy, and nice herbaltouches. Beer selection is solid with bottled regional brews. Did portions were great not stupidly huge, but generous. Acouple of dessert options, we had cobbler which was very tasty, but served with generic vanilla ice cream."

"For a party of 12, we had amazing service. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, because she was awesome! The servings were a little smaller than I expected, but everything tasted good. The scallops were really good, and I would definitely order again!"

"Although I don't eat animals anymore, I still enjoy volta. the hummus is good, all her suppen are good, and if I want to pamper the pita melt is brilliant with the tomatensuppet. To be honest, I wouldn't go here if they were vegan, unless they are super committed and happy to eat hummus and carrots that they could eat at home. everything has cheese or ziki sauce, and I am so glad that I have become vegetarian again because there are so many more options here."

"Love it every time.. Was informed about this place's Bread pudding a year ago or more. I tried it and it is fantastic, need two people to eat it. Try the Roast Beef PoBoy too. Can get crowded on weekends, expecially if the Rebels are playing a home game, but treat yourself despite that. Enjoy!"

"Do they understand before they go here that this place is a dive, okay? it is not nice, but it is an Oxford tradition, opened since 1959! and the tables and decoration have not changed since then! I'm going to the breakfast occasionally. nothing nice. coffee, eggs, speck, pancakes, spicy. locals will be there as well as students. the waitress could sit on the table with them while they order. if they have pleasure, they go to the place down on the road, but if they want good ole diner eat at a good price, they go to beacon."
