I moved to Oxford about 7 months ago and have tried various restaurants around town. I came across El Agave after visiting another Mexican restaurant that was lackluster. El Agave proved to be a better choice for Mexican food. The food had flavor and spice. Their salsa left a lot to be desired but had nice heat with it to make up for the lack of any other flavors. If you want great Mexican food, this is the place. Their taquito appetizer was delish. The ribeye had a delicious seasoning and was super tender. You could even pull it apart with your fork.
