"Dined this evening with 5 other people and can say that every single one of us absolutely loved our meals. We had appetizers that included oysters, fried olive balls and my personal favorite the fried okra chaat. Wow! Main courses consisted of swordfish, trout, beef cheeks, a shrimp dish, and mine which was steak and frites. It was cooked to perfection. Chef Bhatt never disappoints! And as good as the meal was, the service was equally wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable with her suggestions and very attentive to all our needs. It made for a exceptional experience with family and friends. Thank you Snackbar!"

"Ravine is an absolute gem in Oxford and Chef Joel Miller has created something very special. Last night was my family’s second adventure at the restaurant and it was wonderful. The chef got us started with an amuse-bouche, a tasty croquette. We followed with the same appetizers as our previous visit--beef tenderloin mini-burgers on yeast rolls with red onion jam and bleu cheese, along with sautéed brussels sprouts with shallots, parmesan, and bacon. We could have made a meal on either of them. Really outstanding. The white bean and chorizo soup that followed was excellent. We all went our separate ways with our entrees and I chose the NY strip with grain mustard herb butter and accompanied by potato gratin. The extent to which steaks are prepared and grilled can be all over the map but this was perfectly done to my taste. I love French wines and we chose the Chateau Greysac and it was a real find for us all. This is only the second time I have been to Oxford in 40 years and southern hospitality was on full display. I struck up a conversation with the lovely lady whose art adorns the walls of Ravine and was very pleased to learn that she is Joel’s mother. She was accompanied by her husband Jack Stubbs and local legends Pat and Patty Tatum. A great and enjoyable evening in every respect!"

"Eating is something of the best they will ever eat. many atmospheres. when it is busy, make sure that they follow the unwritten rules of getting a table. they wait in the line and wait their turn. the waiters are not sitting on them, the customers are sitting. do not try to be a wise guy and be in front of someone who has waited longer than she has. you're gonna make it. trust me we've done it."

"Best place! We loved eating here. I got the bunless burger which I was nervous about but it sounded decent? somehow was so good! And much healthier than your typical bun burger! Loved it. Had a wonderful server as well."
