I only go here when my parents are in town because it is 1Expensive and 2just so far out of the way.

Slowest service ever Waited 15 minutes to get waterWaited an hour and a half to get the worst mahi-mahi I've ever had.

"Food was plenty good, service was slow, but the thing that got me was the automatic surcharge that was added to the bill without being disclosed ahead of time and for a party of just 3. I was told it was their standard practice, but I bet a lot of people don't catch this and tip 20% on top of the silently added service charge. "Boure provided a really good experience. Our waitress was amazing! The food left something to be desired. My fried crawfish tails were burnt, and the burger was undercooked even though I ordered it medium rare. However, my party enjoyed their food anddrinks, which was great!"

"We had this restaurant recommended by a friend who knew we were going to Oxford. There were 4 in our group and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. Each of us had different sides with our entree and were very impressed. The Meatloaf Catfish were very good. I would definitely recommend Ajax Diner if you plan on being in Oxford."

"As we arrived, we were nicely greeted at the door. We had made reservations, which work really well. The waiter was attentive without being invasive. She even brought a big bowl of iced water for my service dog. As many times happens to me, I asked for mild food and it wasn’t as mild as I would have preferred. They were far more successful in making other accommodations, though. This restaurant pays attention to details and their food it outstanding. We ordered a black ribeye without pepper and pan seared scallops. Delicious!"
