What Daisy D doesn't like about The Haycutter:
Always packed out on weekends so I thought the food would be better, not as good as it was 2 years ago. £23 for a cod loin with seafood stew turned out to be mainly potatoes, I dont eat or like potatoes so a waste of money for a disappointing plate of food. During a walk at this pub pampered. managed to get a picnic table and fast service, although it is a sunny bank holiday. the food came out in less than 10 minutes and was delicious.
Great experience,as so often with Brunning and Price pubs,the staff and food are excellent. I had prawn and pumpkin Laksa which was sensational.My partner had Vegan burger, very good.. Afterwards small dessert and coffee was a great idea that rounded off the meal. Staff super friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend The Haycutter.
We really like this place. Beautiful gardens, excellent seating outside and particularly roomy inside. Very well decorated for the Jubilee . Good food although I'm not over impressed with the menu, but that's just me. Overall probably the best pub for miles around for couples, groups or families. .
Our Sunday roast was delicious!! One of the best roasts we have had, plus the desserts were great too! Ordered the sticky toffee pudding and it was amazing, I could have eaten two! I have had lunch here a few times on the terrace which have also been great, and was lovely to have lunch inside today. Will be back again!
