"We were at the bnb and decided to dinner in the restaurant. had an absolutely delicious sirloin with brand bones, cooked to perfection with beautiful shoestringries and vegetables. I had to help stop the steak. we had the doolhof dark lady to go with him excellent and ended with some of the house brand that was also excellent."

"Our stay at Opstal Stay was a memorable one. We had the most beautiful view from all the rooms. Hottub on the patio with a spectacular view. Cabin has everything you need and more. "Ive been to Gecko quite a few times and have always been strangely satisfied when we leave. You never expect much when you go, but I've always gone home thinking...wow, that was actually quite good. The service is fine, the food looks good and tastes decent. Pretty good place to go. Good pizza, brilliant nachos, ok filled pancake... surprisingly good sushi. Spring rolls...uhhmmmm...not so great."

"I definitely need to take a couple of steps back, because I used to work at this beautiful restaurant. I have to congratulate the owners on the renovations, definitely worth it. The new restaurant looks and feels different. I still feel the plaas with a dash of exquisite vibes. The staff is definitely well trained, they know what they're doing. We enjoyed our drinks, the above and beyond gin definitely did its thing with the cocktail. The saggy stone beer also didn't shy away, in fact my friend actually feels it's one of the best he's ever had. I do think there might be a different glass to serve the milkshake in for adults, because it looked like a kiddies milkshake. My friends enjoyed the service Desmine provided us with. They are very impressed with the place and service. They truly loved the fact that we were provided with a blanket on request. We were at a nearby estate and what a let down. We left that estate and came here and was served so quickly. The food is amazing. The burgers were so scrumptious. The tomato was cut a bit very thick, but that's personal preference. We will be back and definitely bring more people. All the best with the restaurant and if you guys keep on providing this good service you will definitely be able to expand your brand."

"Great place for kids mud kitchen, goats, jungle gym, guava orchards and trampoline outside as well as indoor play area including a lego table. Attention is given to the little things which make all the difference. They brought the kids food out first, so it could cool down enough to eat by the time our food arrived. The chef specially made cheese sauce for me even though it wasn't on the menu, just because it was my preference. The food was great, and really good value for money too.
