What H doesn't like about Fishermans Table:
Steak was cooked to perfection. Garlic bread was disappointing. Service was pretty good! Nothing in the all you can eat salad bar appealed to me or my son, the rest of our table enoyed it though. Average food and service. Our (two of them actually) waitress forgot our drinks order, we didn't get it at all. Fish was under-seasoned. Croquettes were meh. Portion sizes could be bigger considering the price.
This is a reliable, family restaurant where you can bring anyone from nine months to ninety years of age. The location is lovely for visitors to enjoy a drive and view along the Kapiti Coast and out to Kapiti Island. For anyone with accessibility or mobility issues the path offers steps or a slope up to the door. Inside there's room to move with a lovely view out to sea. Food is reliable with several options and a salad bar. We enjoyed a delicious Tomato Soup, Stuffed Mushrooms, Porterhouse Steak and a Fishermans Basket. Desserts were good Chocolate Mud Cake and some Apple Crumble with Rhubarb Sauce. Great coffees here too. Overall it was a great family lunch. Great service. Thank you.
Terrible service, terrible food. Do not go there!!! My steak was over cooked and cold. There was only 2 bottles of water for the whole place!!!!
This was my first stop in New Zealand and I wasn't disappointed. My host took me here for lunch right after getting off the plane. Everything I tried was great. Love this place. The view is amazing!!!!
