"We love this place and the food they serve, especially the country chicken curry, naan bread and onion pakoras. What we find different with Kumars' compared to other restaurant is the homely ambience, service and taste. When we were living in Thames we used to have food, in kumars, once in a week, but since we moved to Auckland we visit them whenever possible. Awesome place to be."

"Nice local bar for a hearty meal. We had Dixie chicken and Guinness hot pot. The food was ok. The kids meals were great value though! We also played pool afterwards for a while which was nice."

"Best meat on chips I've had in New Zealand. Had mixed meat and both were moist and plentiful, salads fresh and tasty too. Wife had chicken on rice and same results for her and my 2 year old. "First time there. Great all round. Parking was great, service was also great and the food, chicken was cooked nicely chips were fresh and not dried out through sitting to long like so many KFC outlets. Sat in instead of takeaway because of long hours traveling. So was a good choice to stop there for a break and lunch."
