Don't know why this place got low reviews previously A no-frills "Mom and Pops" type of eatery where the locals eat, and everyone knows your name.
I can't comment on the breakfast since I have not tried it.

"We first dined here during my class at the Parelli Campus this year, my entire class showed up to have dinner. What excellent food and beautiful presentations! My husband and I live here in Pagosa Springs full time and this has become our favorite evening dinning spot!! Thanks for consistent good quality dishes!"

"Really nice location. Sat on the patio overlooking the river, really beautiful. Service was fantastic and our server followed up at just the right times. Nice beer selection and had a fantastic pumpkin ale. Simply delicious. Food was excellent. Will definitely be back when we return to Pagosa Springs."

"Very comfortable restaurant with very nice and welcoming staff. The food (bruschetta, lasagna, chick parm, chick picatta) had great sauces and flavors. The only draw back was the pasta itself...over cooked. Ask for al dente!I'd go back."

"First, Sara, our waitress was great. We appreciate their attention without being overlaid or neglected. Secondly, the food was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Elk Tenderloin with garlic potatoes and asparagus and I had the Bison Ribeye with garlic potatoes with onions and asparagus. We also ordered the side of Bok Choy and my husband had a salad. He also ordered the barrel at the age of Manhattan and was very happy with it. The best he had so far. Of course we filled it with a dessert chocolate cake! Yum. Very nice, romantic and great food!"

"We've been coming to Pagosa for a few years now and decided to try a new place. Very disappointed in our food. The Bison burger was very dry and overcooked. The regular burger was just okay. The elk sausage was pretty good. The cocktails were the best thing we had with our dinner. We really wanted to like it since there aren't a ton of restaurants in Pagosa. Hopefully things will improve. PS. They do offer a gluten free bun. Not sure about cross contamination. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"Perhaps the best Calamari known to man. I also had Marconis version of a Hawaiian pizza. Your pizza is up there with the best pizzas I had from anywhere on the planet. We had a family of nine. Service was great, food was fantastic. We had a great experience... so much that I could tell a few days later. hats of owners and employees; thanks for a job well done!"
