"Unfortunately I had to change my 5 star review to the current. Used to be the best place around, I was a frequent client. Now the portions got tiny smaller than the ones you get in tourist scam places), vegetables could be fresher and the meat tasted like it was cooked yesterday, the place lost its charm. Such a pity, in the past they had the best souvlaki I ever had. Wont come back any time soon, but definitely will give it another chance sometime in the future. There are much better options in the area. : : :"

"Those of us of a certain age may miss the old taverns in Agios Nilos that no longer exist, but Maerio is a very good consolation. Very good food, very kind staff, and very reasonable prices. "Excellent experience. We stayed a week in Athens and had dinner twice here. It is a pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating, a beautiful atmosphere and soft Greek music. The food was great and we had Chris with us, he was welcoming, entertaining and bubbly, the best host we could ask. The seabed and the kebab plate are amazing, and so are the grilled halliumi and tzatziki, and my fussy teenagers very enjoyed the shrimp pasta and the baklava. The wine is good (loved the Ouzo and the Meloncello too! . I hope we will return soon."
