We ate at a local eatery, seating outside and observing life in the market, very interesting. There are also lots of stall selling everything here, including fresh vegetable and seafood. The outdoor restaurants are very nice, with good home cooked foods. Worth visiting read more.

We were looking forward to some simple but well cooked street food in Ballaro. What we got was some poorly cooked and extremely overpriced, greasy, rubbish in a cacophony of noise. Whatever you do DO NOT TRY THE FIRST FISH STREET FOOD RESTAURANT YOU COME TO IN BALLARO SQUARE.
