Great quality, but a tad expensive. I understand that quality meat is more expensive, but it's not feasible for a family to frequent this establishment for week...

Great food...prepared or not...love the soups

Very small. Went there for their delicious potato salad. Very good but very expensive. Didn't have enough notice to make my own, so We were stuck paying alot.

Has so many options to choose from, pre-made meals. Boars head deli meats, Not all but some. Soups, meals ham, and lots of other options. Go here

Ordered our beef tenderloin for Christmas Eve dinner!! Awesome as usual!!

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"

"I went in twice to get cream puffs. The staff was very pleasant and they were able to make the cream puffs. I went in this Sunday morning and I asked if they were available and right away the girl said no. This was at 7:30 am didn’t even offer an alternative or check to see if they can be made."

"I was there yesterday with my friend and her mother. Eating was really good, my vermouth as they can't see the pictures so much. my glass had 7 bugs in it. I didn't notice it until I almost ended it and began to take some of them out of my mouth. it ruined my dinner, and I have to say it was one of the worst of all time. kellner apologised, but got very defensiw and sharpened that we complained. did nothing for us to make it for ruined dinner. great disappointment. I don't think I'll ever go back there."
