What Robert G likes about L'Institut:
It is just across the river from Ile Saint-Louis and is on a busy corner. On a cool afternoon they turned on the overhead heaters and I had a caraf of wine and a cheese plate. The service was good and the price was fair. The plate had a good variety of different cheese and my wine was also good. It was fun to just sit outside in comfort and watch the traffic and people bustling around this section of Paris. View all feedback.
What EilisMaloney doesn't like about L'Institut:
The food was excellent-huge portions and the best french fries I've ever had. However, the service was disappointing. I felt sorry for the waitress as she was on her own serving tables outside. The service was slow and when I went inside to ask for the bill, the male waiter was quite rude-he didn't want to answer me or be in any way helpful. View all feedback.
rude staff, got yelled at for nothing! if i wanted to be yelled at i would have went to a bdsm club!!
Nice place, nice staff and affordable petit-déjeuner. Highly recommendable: Croissant, Tartine, Cappuccino, Apricot jam and Orange juice.
