"Many years ago, Alexandre Dumas wrote of cooking and food. Given that he also wrote about Vendee and Paris, it is logical to assume that he must have visited both places. At that time, to get from one to the other required a journey through this village, and it would not be improbable to imagine that he would have stayed at the local Coaching inn, the “Cheval Blanc”. Could it be that the inn had a brilliant chef, who inspired the great writer? Could it also be that the shade of that chef has resurfaced in the same village? Because the standard at Petite Noisette astounds, and the value for money is extraordinary. Richard, lamb cannot possibly taste this good. It should be illegal. Fish may be served like this to royalty, but in a village restaurant? The writer is diabetic but was very sorely tempted to risk it, knowing how irresistible is the chocolate Ganache. La Petite Noisette is a little like cocaine; highly addictive. Once you have eaten here, you ache to return, and you remember it until the next time you visit. It is an unforgettable experience. We are lucky to live in the same village (in the former coaching Inn nearby) and treasure each wonderful visit. Treat yourself. Your scales might regret it, but you will not."

"The frame is friendly, without more, a little canteen, all ranked onion. The reception is correct, the fast service and the good kitchen invoice.Gross negative point for our first visit, the addition: the server has charged us the coffee 7€!!! an involuntary error certainly, but the minimum is to check before presenting the heavy to the customers. If I hadn't checked this one before I settled, I would have paid this exorbitant and perfectly unjustified price. No excuse, just laughs... no commercial gesture, of course. I'm not coming back to this restaurant."

"I used this restaurant at many places and I usually had excellent eating and service. this time eating was not on the usual high standard, it was good and edible, but only not exceptional. it just got on the plate without. attempt to tilt in style or presentation. the staff seemed to be very young and inexperienced. the wine offered on the board was that they then served a very young wein from which very little deep or taste. this inferior wein was still the same price! a disappointing evening when we performed a leading international wine expert to eat with us a restaurant that was excellent until tonight. I wouldn't eat here again."
