Contribute FeedbackSage Restaurant offers an inviting ambience, perfect for a casual gathering or an intimate dinner. Diners rave about its outdoor seating and the attentive service provided by the staff. While the menu boasts gourmet vegan dishes such as flavorful butternut squash ravioli and gluten-free pancakes, experiences vary; some find dishes occasionally oversalted or lacking in flavor. Appetizers sometimes arrive after mains, and service can be inconsistent. Despite these imperfections, many patrons appreciate the delicious drinks and unique offerings. Overall, Sage remains a beloved spot in Pasadena, inviting guests to savor a delightful culinary adventure amidst a charming atmosphere.
My husband and I visited with my mother in law to enjoy some vegan food. Throughout dinner, we heard loud construction noise coming from a nearby store that was remodeling. Food was okay (flavors were simple) but portions were really generous. The worst part of this experience was that my mother-in-law got sick after consuming the vegetable curry. It put her out of commission completely the next day. The set up is cute and in a good spot of old town Pasadena.
I am thoroughly unimpressed with the new menu. Even though I am not a vegan, all of my previous favorites from the menu are no longer available. This restaurant is no longer unique or special in any way. It now seems like a generic establishment that simply prides itself on using grass-fed meat.
We had a wonderful experience dining with our family at this restaurant! The drinks were delicious and the food was fantastic. Our server was friendly and provided exceptional service. We will definitely be returning in the future.
At last, a restaurant that focuses on serving healthy options! I am thrilled to have discovered this regenerative restaurant. It caters to both vegans and meat-eaters. Though we dined indoors, the shaded patio at 5:30pm seemed like a good choice for our next visit as it appeared to be popular. The service was excellent and I was delighted to see options like kombucha and lavender honey latte, available with oat milk, soy milk, whole milk, or raw milk. There truly is something for everyone at this restaurant!
My partner found Sage on his quest to find a GF breakfast place on our visit to Pasadena, and did he ever knock it out of the park. The decor is beautiful, and the menu is divine. We had the Nachos, the Venison Flautas, and the Wild Venison Melt (made GF. While all were delicious, the Wild Venison Melt was out of this world, and the balances of the flavors and textures between the gouda and kimchi and mustard was beyond memorable. Don't sleep on their cocktail menu either we had a four hour drive ahead so we did not indulge we will definitely be back to try more!
