Contribute FeedbackThe Pana has replaced The Pavillion, leaving many disappointed with the lack of atmosphere, limited beer selection, and impersonal feel. Brunch left patrons dissatisfied due to overcooked eggs and lackluster service. However, the restaurant offers a variety of reasonably priced menu options and a bustling atmosphere. Despite some average food quality, the staff is friendly and attentive. Some customers enjoy the drinks and music selection, while others appreciate the exceptional whiskey selection and fantastic service from the staff. Overall, The Pana seems to be hit or miss, with some patrons loving it while others are left wanting more.
Dropped in for lunch on sunday with my boyfriend for lunch. There is a really great atmosphere inside , very laid back but with a nice buzz as it was full up by the time we started eating . There are some great options on the menu for brunch , breakfast items from porridge to all cooked options and some unusual ones like burgers, salads , sandwiches and few nice sides all extremely reasonably priced. There is also a special boad with a soup, and mains to choose from. I went for a baked potato with some chillie and added the apple/red onion slaw and my boyfriend had the scrembled egg mess. The egg mess was good nicely cooked and not really greasy and a good portion. The baked potato was only ok as it was just cooked so could have been softer and the amount of chilli was really small compared to the size of the potato so im glad i had the slaw as otherwise it would have been to dry as they have no sauces on the table. The staff were really pleasant and friendly. Sadly the food is only average but the atmosphere and value are good and we have heard good things about the dinner options so we will be back again
Had a drink in here a few weeks ago. The service was prompt, staff were really nice and friendly and had a nice outside seating area. I liked the way its partly secluded from the main street, it made it feel a bit away from things . Would definitely come back!
The staff at this restaurant is delightful, always welcoming with a smile. I bring all my visitors here and they always enjoy their experience. The food is exceptional, with fantastic daily specials. I especially love the sundried tomato ciabatta and the homemade ice cream is always delicious. Keep up the great work, guys! The venue has a great atmosphere and I also enjoy the humor on the specials board.
Yesterday, I went to brunch with three friends and we were all disappointed with our meals. Two of us ordered eggs benedict, one with smoked salmon on the side, which came out late. Another friend ordered an omelette and I ordered eggs florentine. Unfortunately, all of our poached eggs were overcooked and served with a minimal amount of hollandaise sauce. The omelette was tasty but too watery. Our server was nice and accommodating, especially with dietary restrictions. However, when we went to pay, the bartender seemed disinterested and unfriendly. Overall, I don't anticipate returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
The Pana replaces The Pavillion which is missed by many Cork people who used to frequent it including myself.I have tried to like its replacement,The Pana but it just dosent cut it.There is zero atmosphere, the music they have on consists of bland indie pop,R B and Mumford Sons type fare.No pictures on the walls. The choice of beer is very limited. The staff do their job efficently but its all a bit impersonal. They could have at least have hung onto some of the old staff instead of getting rid of everything that made the Pavillion so popular.
