"What a FABULOUS! Only our second visit back, but we were warmly welcomed by our sweet waitress and the chefs! The Chipotle Chicken was the perfect mix of spices/hot. (I found it mild/extinct, the same dish made my sister sweat, but she also loved it and said it wasn't too hot! She ordered it every visit! Must the guacamole be made at your table and finish with the flourless chocolate cake! Thanks, SOL, we'll see you soon."

"We ate here on the way from Litchfield Beach/Pawleys Island. We had to wait outside about 10 minutes before we were sitting because there were no seats available. That was all. But... it was worth waiting! The staff was very friendly and gave wonderful service. Food was hot and cooked as ordered delicious!! They were very well organized to get tables clear when customers finished eating and sitting the next party in line. It was amazing to see how the staff worked to get people sitting and served it so busy (Vater 's Day at that too). Ladies' toilet was clean. The dining area was clean. The restaurant is old, but clean. And the food is absolutely the best homemade/souther cooking can be found in the area for breakfast or lunch. I eat here several times every time I go to the island. You earn very generous tips because service is the best and food is delicious."

"I wish we'd come here earlier because it's just the best breakfast I had in a very long time and I'm sad that this is our last morning in the opposite. I would have had another chance to try even more of the delicious menu options. we got the cafe mocha, who was big, as good, and tasted like a decadent coffee hot kakao with a sweet whipped cream. for eating we have the Homestead cellar, the crab cake bened and a blueberry muffin. after yesterday's breakfast in applewood I was really hesitant to get another crabcake benedict, but this place is all that the applewood desires, it could be. The Homestead cellar had delicious cookies and gravy (I even liked it and I usually hate gravy,) sausage, and crispy, smokey speck. the crabcake benedikt was tasteful with a perfectly poched egg, deliciously rich hollandaise, soft and slightly crispy crumb cake, which was not too fishy, all on a crunchy garlic broth base, which complemented everything beautifully. the accompanying fruit cup was very fresh with tasteful fruit and a splash of orange juice, which was a beautiful accent. the blueberry muffin was perfectly sweet and tasty with roasted edges and a soft, crispy mitte. to make our visit even better, our server was very friendly and friendly, although he was very busy and with the table of karens next to us who have said quite rude dinge to and about them. I would have lost it on them, but she remained so friendly and carefree that it was impressive. we ate outside on the terrace and it was nice, shady and clean."

"Service was good, otherwise this would be a one star review. I ordered just an appetizer as an entrée, which was a special that night, the stuffed pepper. For $18 I got a single pepper filled with a small amount of meat, eggplant, and topped with melted mozzarella, all on top of a small amount of arugula. No flavor to the dish at all. I do not see how in good conscience a chef can send out a appetizer of that size and ask patrons for $18. Most of the other plates at my table were small for the price. One person I was dining with also said that her meal was unseasoned. If you are reading this and considering this restaurant: do not eat here. There are places elsewhere all along the beach with better value and better food. Dietary restrictions: Not many gluten free options here, which did not affect the review but more options would be appreciated for people with dietary restrictions. Parking: Very tight and small parking lot. Be careful pulling your vehicle into this lot especially if you have a large truck, etc. If you're not comfortable with cars in very close proximity, avoid this place. Probably also difficult for people who have problems driving at night. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free parking lot"
