"We dine every week and this is the first time I felt adamant about writing a review in hopes to provide feedback for the restaurant. This was by far one of the worst experiences my husband and I have ever had- after over 14 years fine dining in the Boston area. We arrived on time for an early 4:45pm dinner reservation. The restaurant was busy for the time period which we figured was a good sign for food and service expectation. We were seated in the back corner- no issues except the air conditioning blasting us- I had to put my husbands blazer on. It was 27 degrees out and the air was on? We are Abe and Louis and Mastro’s regulars. We were very hopeful to try Pellana for something new. First- the busboy stood at the table -literally while my husband finished his shrimp cocktail waiting to take his plate. He actually stood there and waited over his shoulder. Next- the food arrived over an hour after ordering. Four tables next to us who arrived after we did all got served while We waited with no recognition for the delay. Lastly- the server forgot to place my husbands steak order- the main meal! My chicken and all our sides arrived cold and my husband had to wait another 20 minutes for his main meal. It was an absolute disaster and terrible Saturday night dinner. I have never written a review but this place is absolutely no comparison in service or quality to other restaurants in this category. The restaurant didn’t even offer to make amends for the bad experience. Never again."

"Enjoyed the food but underwhelmed considering the hype of the restaurant. We were seated at at the bar overlooking the kitchen which was interesting viewing, but we were served from behind which was awkward and there wasn't much room for all the small plates. The corn bread was delicious! We also had the fresh catch (red snapper that day) which was pretty good and the butternut squash ravioli. The lamb osso bucco (giouvetti) had a weird cut of meat. Overall it was good but not amazing."

"I had Half Baked for awhile and finally aligned the stars; my husband and I stayed in a few times for breakfast and it was nice delicious)! Today, after the obligatory fun at work, I stopped for lunch and a donut--no regret! Absolutely worth the ride or stop for a good meal or tantalizing treat!"

"Sitting is tight and it is a hole in the wall, but eating was worth the trip of maryland. we ordered the margarita pizza and the campeanelle. service was great and courteous. first the sauce. to the point! it has a fresh and coughing that all illuminates their dishes. the cing of the tomato made my mouth flatter when I eat it. second: pasta and broth. perfectly cooked and are perfect vehicles for the sauce. the pasta had chorizo shadings above, which added a salty n smokey profile for which was to die. there was a perfect balance instead of an overwhelming oiliness, from which I generally know."
