"The staff is always very polite and friendly. The food however, is way too salty for my family. Even my 17yo complained of it being too salty and we couldn’t finish our plates. We ordered the St. Louis style dry ribs. The last time I ordered them they were too salty for me to finish but I wanted to give them another try. I’ve had the fried catfish and shrimp a couple times, nicely fried but also too salty.The smoked cabbage is delicious. The mac and cheese is not very flavorful and kind of mushy. I don’t care for hush puppies but I love theirs. So unfortunately, for me, their food is a hit or miss. If they cut the salt, they would be my favorite local eatery."

"This isn't my first visit, but I always forget to post. This time, I went through the drive thru and just got 3 lbs of ribs for dinner(had my own sides at home). They are always pretty good. I usually don't like my ribs sauced. I'm more of a dipper, but their sauce is pretty good. And their ribs are lightly sauced, not slathered with sauce dripping everywhere. The sauce is not too sweet or tangy. It pairs perfectly with the ribs, and the pickles are just the icing on the cake. Yum! I've tried the mac n cheese, collards, baked beans, and potato salad, which were all pretty good as well. But the show stopper to me are the cheese biscuits, they are so delicious! The staff is always so friendly(like they actually enjoy their jobs), and I have even had 1 or 2 encounters of getting the wrong food that was handled very professionally by management. Big shot out to assistant manager Tiffany. She is a gem, so don't let her go. If you haven't tried Jim n Nicks, give it a shot, you won't be disappointed."

"This is my 88 year-old mother’s favorite place to bring the family together every year for Thanksgiving. She loves the variety of food and the professional and friendly staff. I wish the desserts were were “tastier” and more representative of the good ole South home cooking (potato pie, deep dish apple or peach cobbler with crust, banana pudding layered with bananas and Nilla wafers like grandma), but otherwise, everything is good."
