This was a great spot for Asian food. I have lived in Hollywood for over 10 years and have never visited this restaurant. I was missing out, everything was great that we ordered. I ended up coming for a Yelp event but picked up some additional food for takeout and I was not disappointed. We had the following: Shrimp fried rice Pork ribs Beef with broccoli Sweet sour chicken with the sauce on the side Pan fried chicke... View all feedback.
What C Gavin Alford doesn't like about Jīn Jué Cān Tīng:
Half of the dim sum menu unavailable, short staffed, restrooms not up to par... We used to love this place. Maybe in a couple of years if they are still business, we'll give them another try. View all feedback.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK. My husband and I were regulars at this restaurant. If anyone wanted a suggestion for good DIM SUM we would send them here. Needless to say, it took me a while to write this review, because I genuinely did not expect this. Now I am finally ready to write this review. On May 31st 2022, I took my family to dinner at this establishment to celebrate my son 's Kindergarten graduation. It was one of our worse experience in any restaurant in my entire life. We walked into the restaurant which was empty except for 6 people. 2 people at one table wrapping up their meal and four people at another table getting ready to order. No one else came into the restaurant while we were dined. There are two people working, a male sitting by the bar and a female who seems to be serving the tables. We were seated on the empty side of the dining room in a corner. Our party was of 7 people, which included my two year old twin boys. Our server came over explained what was available on the Dim Sum menu, as well as the regular menu. We ordered and waited for our meal. While waiting the twins were actively playing with the cars I brought for them to play with while we waited. Every now and then the cars would fall and one would squeal. This happened up until our meals came. The boys were fed and then we started eating, this left them to continue playing with their cars. Again as with all children they were not sitting quietly. They were sitting but playing and laughing and squealing (being in a corner on the empty side of the restaurant I could imagine there was an echo). While we were eating our meal, the male from behind the bar comes over and stayed, ahm, do you mind taking the kids outside so they can burn off some energy, they are being a bit loud and is ruining the experience for all my other customers. We had one set that decide to pack up their things and leave because it was just too noisy . I was in such shock I didn 't know what to do or say. All I could say was No mid fork going into my mouth. We continued to eat what was on our plates and then boxed up what was remaining on the serving plates. The server asked us what was happening as we requested boxes so abruptly. We explained to her what had transpired and she said, no it 's not a problem, don 't mind him, you guys are fine . We declined and pack up our food and left.
Craving dim sum I was looking at options in the area and Gold Marquess came up and had fairly decent reviews. Unsure of if the menu online was accurate, I called to place my order and that went fairly smoothly. The hold time to complete my order was a little long, but since the dining room is open and functional, I 'm not sure if they were extremely busy or if the individual who answered was also a server tackling two roles. Either way, I placed my order and headed over to pick up in 15 minutes. Upon arrival there was a party of five (adults and kids) waiting to be seated outside and as I walked up to the front door I was greeted with a sign that said take-out pick up at side entrance. No problem. I walked over to the side entrance and entered to an area that was directly next to the bar and let you into the dining area (directly ahead) or a person could veer off to the right which led to the restrooms. There was no one at the side entrance or the bar when I entered so I sat at the bar waiting for someone to come out and assist me. The first person that came behind the bar didn 't speak to me. The second person asked if I was placing and order. I informed he staff member I was picking up and order. The order was ready so I made my payment, collected the bag, and went about my way. If you remember, my decision to visit this location was for their dim sum. I ordered the shrimp dumplings, bbq pork buns, chicken feet, and spring rolls. Not on the dim sum menu, but an offered appetizer, I also got an order of the soft shell crab. The crab and chicken feet were perfectly cooked and delicious! The other items were not bad, but nothing to shout about. Since this visit I 've been informed that they offer the carts for dim sum choices during lunch hours. Hoping for better service and a bit more variety in choices because they need not be travel friendly. Thinking that 's the next move.
We went around noon on a Sunday, so many dim sum is not available and the service is the slowest I’ve ever seen. I don’t blame the waiters, but they restaurant should hire more people. We only tried pork ribs, steamed shrimp dumpling and bbq pork buns, they are all very average. We left after having three plates of dim sum.
The food quality is not great and overpriced considering other dim sum options in the area, and the poor servers are running around like mad because there are too few of them.
