"My husband and I always look for somewhere to eat that serves good food and this little café did just that. It was lunchtime, however, my husband had the Scottish breakfast, which completely filled him up for the rest of the day. Freshly cooked, well presented with a jovial side of sarcastic wit from the delightful chap serving behind the counter. Egg, bacon, sausage, tons of mushrooms, beans, haggis, black pudding, toast, and above all, filter coffee, which you can’t really find these days – it usually comes out of a machine. That got an extra star from my husband. I had a tuna fish sandwich, and was happily indulged with red onion on top. This came with a healthy side of coleslaw, a little salad, and a big handful of Doritos style chips. I would have preferred ordinary crisps, but this is just a personal choice. I certainly wouldn’t criticise anybody for this. I had a cappuccino which was served really hot and tasted delicious. We left via the beer garden at the back, having discovered it when I used the bathroom. We will definitely go back for an evening meal and sit outside when the weather allows. As we were heading towards the car park, a couple asked us for directions and we pointed them towards the beach via this café. I hope they took us up on our suggestion."

"One surly man serving who didn 't even acknowledge us on entry, despite me saying hello. Actually serving is not accurate as he went to deal with one or two customers at the counter and we were just left sat with no indication of how long he would be . We got up and left and went to Mannings, which was brilliant !"

"There was a big queue when we got there which I did find off putting initially, but we decided to stick with it. Queue went down quickly. Husband had amaretto sour cherry I had blueberry ripple. Very reasonably priced generous portions. Very tasty ice cream. The place closes at 4pm but there is easily the demand for it to be open later."

"As this place was recommeneded by almost all internet results for top ten pubs in South Wales we really thought we were on a winner coming here on the second day of our holiday. When we drove up to park the beautiful coastline took my breath away it was a gorgeous day so we decided to eat outside on the benches to admire the view of the beach. So far so good! As South Wales has wonderful culture history (my dad was Welsh I wanted to experience all this I was looking forward to enjoying some Welsh food, however the menu we were given was lacking. It was a Sunday so I settled for a Sunday roast only to be told No Sunday roast (only if you booked in advance ....Ok..I looked back at the menu did not understand most of what was on it. Even an Iranian dish was listed I joked to my husdand that we could have Iranian Stew! So it came down to a choice of just one vaugly English dish on the whole menu. Steak pie. This arrived in about 40 minutes but the pie was not a pie at all! Just a dish of steak stew with a pastry lid. I should have been impressed as this was the only part of the dish that was edible. The mash was swimming in butter making it more of a potato slop rather than mash the veg, a mixture of sugar snap peas (I hate these!! brocholli peas was raw! Not just undercooked but raw completely inedible. Even my dog turned his nose up at this. It cost a small fortune too to be honest the McDonalds in Haverfordwest would have been a lot better. Is it so difficult to get Welsh food In a Welsh pub? It is such a shame as this place is in an amazing spot but unless you are an Iranian backpacker homesick for Irainian food, forget it. As someone else has said.... Take a picnic eat it on the lovely cliffs! I only wish we had!"

"Had a great meal here at the end of a week. the food was delicious, the staff was very friendly. has played a nice conversation with the owner his son also a beautiful piece that he had written on the wing in the restaurant. highly recommended!"
