What Joanne Melo doesn't like about Captain Ken's Diner:
The potential to be great is there but really only average no home made tartar sauce, coleslaw in small plastic cups and what looked like store bought frozen calamari. The only star and thank goodness there was one) pan seared pickerel!! The service was great and the place clean. I will go back and stick to the pan seared pickerel! View all feedback. What Sonia Popolla likes about Captain Ken's Diner:
We stopped by after our camping trip for lunch and had their fish and chips. It was amazing! We especially loved the grilled fish. It was nice to have that option instead of the usual deep fried, although we got that as well. Both were very good. The service was very friendly. You can't go wrong! View all feedback.

read moreCaptain Ken's is a cozy restaurant in Penetanguishene that offers a mix of pub-style and diner fare. While some dishes fell short, such as the pale burger and slow service, others like the chicken Caesar wrap and pan-seared pickerel left a positive impression. Despite some inconsistencies, the restaurant shows potential with its generous portions and friendly service. For those seeking a reliable spot for fish and chips, Captain Ken's comes highly recommended.
As a group of 32 people, we were pleased with the meal. We took 3 tables, and each table received their orders together, which was nice. The halibut was generou...
