We spent with our dog a few days there and had a very good experience. PLACE: it is tidy and clean. Dedicated to Allan Ramsay, a famous Scottish character, the hotel is a bit like a museum, great idea! FOOD: we were actually pleasantly surprised, the food was well above what you would expect in a pub, a well deserved 5 star just for it. We arrived to check in. No one was there. We called and emailed, no response. We called Booking. Com who responded promptly as they could not get a response either so they refunded us. We learnt whilst we were there that this had happened on more than one occasion. We were from Lancashire so completely stranded. Appalling Service they need to stop taking bookings. read more.
