I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The food is delicious and their drinks are great! And I love stopping here for a quick bite to eat during my lunch break. But for some reason they were closed today? Not serving food or drinks. So I went next doorto World of Beer and they werent serving food either. So I had to pick a different lunch spot. Super disappointed. View all feedback.
What Lucy Nunn doesn't like about Agave:
The tequilas are great. The bar does not serve any wine. And the food is literally tasteless. I got the veggie tacos with wasabi sauce and there was zero detectable wasabi. Their black bean corn salad was equally tasteless. Maybe they just have a new chefand or maybe it's just a place to come for margaritas and chips. The Margaritas were very good my husband sucked two of themdown View all feedback.
In no case traditional tacos, but a pleasant and hearty surprise! Your 'Pink Taco' and 'Jerk Chicken' are a must try! Overall great service and location, just make sure not to go during nightlife hours during the weekend, otherwise the line is out of the door!
My wife and I wanted to try Taco Agave for quite ahile, but if they dropped some chips with salsa, queso, pico de gallo, and guacamole in our office for us to try it, pushed me over the edge and made it a priority to get me there to try their tacos. From what I was able to use from other posting, and from Taco Agave its own Facebook page, it looked like it was just a corner in the middle of World of Beer, but it is its own carved bar and restaurant, with its own decor and vibe you need to use the WoB toilets). It was a pleasant surprise when we went up and it had its own entrance and dining tables outdoors. We didn't order any chip starter and went right for the tacos. There are eight on the menu and both of us were dedicated to food enthusiasts, then we all had to try, so we decided to order all of them, and each eat half of each, and then change. All Tacos were very inventive. I can't comment on the Steak-Taco as they were from the Steak Billy, you're right). I loved the Pink Taco and the Piggy Piggy, but all the tacos with the pulled pork are worth trying. They use pulled pig from Hot Spot and it is perfectly smoked and so tasteful. The two losers were the Jerked Chicken and the Veggie. The Jerk had a little sweetness to him and the chicken suffered compared to the juicy pig and seemed dry, and what can I tell you about the veggie taco that you do not already know about a taco without protein, just missed something...oh I know, MEAT!. I get it, and if I didn't just like many super tasteful and wonderful meat filled tacos I would probably have liked it more, but it was the last I tried. My wife liked it, but she could live on vegetables alone, I can't. I have to admit that I don't really think I'm much out of our trip to the city for lunch, but I found Taco Agave a nice place to sit and enjoy the beautiful afternoon weather and was surprised by the quality and inventiveness of the Tacos that they offer. Each taco is with great attention to creating enormous flavor combinations with novel ingredients. I did not try any of their cocktails, but I sat and watched how the servers make the mixers for the evening all from scratch, and this is a huge sign of quality and attention to detail. I have to come back when it's later on the day I'm too old to really want to drink a lot of day. I want to be back for the tacos too. Pensacola, I love where our food scene goes. -B
Great location, walking distance and bar tacos, service is very good. three trips were good, but an exercise in frustration, as they are each time from certain foods... sometimes several articles. We still have a complete menu available to see its almost like owners do not take this place seriously enough to store menu items.... No ice tea drink, only flat sodas from bar dispensers.
I had dinner here with my wife and it was incredible. We had the Asian bbq tacos and chips and queso (which was on par if not better than most Mexican restaurants in the area) and left very satisfied! The staff were all super friendly as well!
Everything we had on the menu was totally awesome. Keep it up...
