Good service, good food that's perfect for lunchtime when a lot of restaurants offer things that end up being too heavy, and the options are creative without being off-puttingly weird or pretentious. Sitting at a counter was a very different experience forme, and I definitely wouldn't be in the mood for it all the time, but it seems to make service much more efficient. View all feedback.

The food here was ok. We had the cauliflower soup, which tasted great. I had the crab sandwich, which tasted good but was small. My dining partner had the roast beef sandwich was very light on the beef and mostly bread, with a potato salad he did not care for. This place is cute for lunch! I love the ambiance and the service is great.
Carmen’s Lunch Bar is a perfect place to grab lunch! I have been here three times and each time has not disappointed. First and foremost, you need to try the soda bread! It is heavenly and perfect to share with a friend. The kale salad is also to die for with such a delicious dressing. They also offer a variety of soups which all taste incredibly good. As far as entrees go, the chicken tikka masala plate is good but it isn’t a showstopper. I have also tried the crab cazuela plate and found it to be quite salty/greasy but still tasty. I’ve also tried a Cuban sandwich special with side salad and that was really good! Next time I come, I will definitely get soda bread, soup/salad, and maybe try a different entree :

Best soups in the city! Eclectic wine list. They have been open for 11 years, I have eaten almost the entire menu. I am embarrassed and a little saddened that it has taken me this long eat the open faced crab melt with chorizo! It is AMAZING. I'll atone for my sin by ordering it again the next time I'm there. Corey (sp) has hospitality in her blood! Must for any pensacola trip
