"I Grow up admiring this wonderful old castle and my grandfather helped build it. It is hidden behind trees and up on a hill that could do with some lighting. I went to have dinner while on my holiday from Toronto. The building is very beautiful. Quaint and has some mid evil charm. The dining room was clean and the decor was plain. No charm could be found. It was very hot and we asked to have the windows open. We were the only customers there. The waiter was dressed in shorts and a t shirt, which I found Boring. He was curt and really had no interest in us as customers. We ordered the expensive salmon with no sauce and the waiter asked us why we like our salmon with no sauce. (Odd) We asked for bread and we were told " no bread service" he didn't try to sell us wine with our meal. We actually felt like it was an impositionTo serve us. Not ambiance could be found. We were very disappointed. We had hoped that this was going to be a creative and delighted journey back to mid evil times or just plain interesting. Finally the meal arrived. Fresh salmon, fresh potatoes and string beans and carrots. I have eaten in many restaurants and I have never eaten such delicious fresh vegetables. Cooked to perfection and spiced just right. The salmon was melt in your mouth wonderful, I totally forgot about the surroundings and enjoyed this wonderful home cooked meal that was obviously prepared by a chef with some experience. For the two meals and tip it was 65. Canadian dollars. My final review. Hire professional staff. Change your atmosphere and I Guarantee you that the Castle will flourish. I would travel a good distance to eat that good food again."

"The star rating is not suitable for this. while eating is very good, the prizes are waayyy of the charts. it is discouraging. the same meal at one of the local competitors was half price and equal if not better than the meal we had. history or not history. That was the last time we left."

"Food was not bad but the service was not great. Ordered a takeout 40 mins before arrival and had to wait for another 20 mins after we got there. I believe that the waiter forgot to put the order through but not apologetic at all but said that we could cancel and leave. Taco had only one taco in the box…for that size and price, I would expect 2-3 PCs. No one wears a mask at indoor restaurants in NB now…? So, it was a bit worrisome."

"We were passing through town with a hankering for ice cream, and I'm so glad we stopped here! There is a huge selection of take out foods (burgers, hot dogs, seafood platters, etc and desserts (sundaes, flurries, soft serve, and other treats! . The spicy fries, bacon...cheeseburger, and homemade fish burger were a big hit. The other food coming out of the kitchen also looked amazing we regretted not ordering the onion rings! They call your order over a loudspeaker when it's ready, so you can grab a table on the little patio or sit in the car while you wait. It's also great for families on a budget four of us ate for under $20! We will definitely stop here again on future roadtrips.Thanks!"
