What a gem!! It was a fortunate find on an otherwise full Friday night in the city with no regrets, other than not having come here sooner! (Photos were not taken until dessert, but the lamb especially had a wow factor) View all feedback.
What Paolo Morissette doesn't like about Arthur Co:
I went with a few friends and ordered the “Crispy pork belly, spiced carrot, shaved cabbage, beans herb labneh”. It was not crispy. In fact, it was bordering leathery. The best part of pork belly is the crackling, and if two slices are over $30, I expected it to be on point. I asked for a steak knife as the knife provided could not cut through, but the waiter abruptly responded that they do not have steak knives. How... View all feedback.
What a jewel! It was a happy find on an otherwise full Friday evening in the city without regret, except didn't come here earlier! (Photos were not taken to dessert, but the lamb had mainly a wow factor)
We are regularly at Arthur Co with good reason, they are 'so' consistent. Great service, high quality food made fresh every day. Standing dishes are the Gnocchi [hey the addition of shrimps this dish enters the upper Echelon]; their fish and salmon when it is on, chicken, beef lamb dishes are very well designed. Highly qualified team. New pork dish menu is excellent. Staff, management owners show care understanding. Beautiful vista/room.
From warm welcome to excellent food I would not have had a nice evening. Not cheap, but not expensive. Not a huge menu, but only enough to satisfy any kind of hunger. The best flank steak I've ever had. While it was sad to see so few diners on a Thursday evening, this did not harm the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff. Nice place too....
Attention to detail from beginning to end. Despite the summer it was a cool night when we arrived, the heaters were switched on to take the cold out of the room, as thoughtful. Eating completely divine. Service impeccable. Will definitely be back.
Arthur Co rides the line between casual and fine dining. Every course was delicious and came at a decent price (about $15 for entrée, $30 for mains, $15 desserts). The atmosphere was nice with that modern exposed ceiling look to it and alfresco dining available. The onyl downside is the toilets are a bit of a trek downstairs and probably not wheelchair accessible. We'll definitely be returning soon.
