"Initially we were in the area to buy banh mi, but the shop closed early, hence we thought let's try this cafe with lots of good reviews.They are correct, we love this place and the food. Very welcoming and not intrusive staff.Food order came in timely manner.Broken rice with porkchop taste heavenly, cook tenderly and the flavours are balance.We also ordered vermicelli with pork pull, crispy springroll and grilled pork. Again the combination of everything together with the sauce was just hit the right spot.My son were having broken rice with crispy chicken,l. He loved it so much and especially after he found out the egg yolk is still runny. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it comes with a dipping soy sauce.Overall we felt so blessed that the other shop decided to close earlier, so we could find this gem."

"I first came to Golden Bakery in 2011 when I would regularly buy my lunch there. Today in 2017 I revisited. Golden has collected a string of trophies for pastries over the past 8 years and they are still collecting them. The shop has an excellent display of their whole range of pastries, both hot and cold. The service has always been good and friendly as it was again today.<br/ <br/ My favourite pastry is the meat and vegetable Cornish pasty, good examples of which are hard to find especially outside of South Australia.<br/ Today I had a pasty for breakfast, a plain meat pie for lunch and a cheese and bacon sausage roll for dinner!!!<br/ <br/ The pasty was the best I have had in WA. There may be other good ones but I haven't found them yet. Golden medium weight flaky pastry with a genuine Cornish pasty filling.The pie had the same golden pastry and a dark dense coarsely minced beef filling with just enough tasty gravy. This was their competition winner but still available every day.The bacon sausage roll wasn't my favourite as the filling was a bit stodgy with maybe too much bread content.<br/ <br/ The shop does a complete range of lunch items such as made to order sandwiches, salads and Vietnamese rice paper rolls. There is some outdoor seating.<br/ <br/ The sweet pastries look ok but I haven't sampled many.<br/ <br/ One more thing. Many reviewers here have given a good review but then rated the place at only 3 or 3.5. Why? As a bakery this place does very well and I have given them 4.5."

"Went here with my family it was quite nice not great it was just alright.My husband had the Hot and Sour Soup which he throughly enjoyed.My daughter and I had the Sung Choi Bao which had more vegetable then meat which I did not enjoy.We ordered a few dishes to share asking the staff not to bring them all at once, now I know it is the Chinese way to have the dishes all at once but I prefer to have the rice and a couple dishes first then the rest a bit later this is just the way I like it, of cause what happen all the dishes came one after the other making it had to find space on the table as there was six of us giving us about seven plates to find room for, with saying all this after complaining the manager did come out and apologise to us.Some of the meals where quite nice which my family like and some dishes I did not but you can't always make everyone happy. This restaurant does have full bar service but we did bring wine and it has easy access for wheelchairs and prams"
