Southern Star Cafe and Restaurant

A reservation about the Zomato app has received a call from the restaurant that confirms my booking 30min before the opening time. Grief The food was great, fresh and delicious! The salad cups and salt N Peppa squid are a must. The service was prompt and very friendly, will definitely come back!

That's my time, the Vietnamese is. I really get only to take away, but the food is absolutely outstanding. Giant fan of chicken salad mug, Tom Yum soup and pad Thai. The food is so much and delicious, definitely worth trying

Absolutely cruel and abysmal service. My work Christmas party was booked here, 2 weeks in advance, and we let the staff know that there were 15 of us. For the prices you charge, we thought we would have received tabular service, but they could not find a way to deal with our large group (even at the previous announcement), so they made us a food court and in order. Add insult to the injury, they could not even find a way to remember to remember who ordered that when the food came out when the food came out, he only brought it to us and called the name of the meal and called Went around the table. I was so embarrassing as to be there, as the other patrons could clearly see our large group and the whole chaos. The service was not even fast, a person in our group had to wait one and a half hours for their food. The food was not even so impressive, I had a lot of better food in Northbridge for a fraction of the price in Northbridge.

Generally it was an ok meal. The ambience of the restaurant was nice. But there was some mixed up. For appetisers we ordered Chilli Pepper Tofu and Salt & Pepper Squid. The waitress sent the tofu over but said that it was squid. We then have the Sizzling Tofu & Vegetable and Roast Duck with Egg Tofu. Both dishes was stir-fried the same way and it looks almost the same with same sauce. The waiter sent the vegetable tofu dish over saying that it was duck. We would not be so pedantic over it if we do not have a vegetarian with us. But all was well after we clarified. Just thought they could be more careful with that. We were not happy when they sent over a grilled chicken that was partially raw. Will we ever go back? If we are in that area and ran out of idea on where to go. We might go back for the nice ambience.

Good service, great food. A bit too expensive for thai food, but we really enjoyed the food. The Pad Thai and the Roast Kway Tow was just fine, but their Saigon chicken was the best!
