What Don Alfredo likes about Gigerwald:
By post bus from Bad Ragaz to the Gigerwald dam. Then on foot to St. Martin in Calfeisental. Little church and ossuary. This Saturday, restaurants are overcrowded. Back through 3 tunnels... Be careful of car idiots... in an hour and a half via the dam to the Gigerwald restaurant. Well looked after here. And back again with the post bus. View all feedback. Today I was a guest at the Berggasthof Gigerwald. Unfortunately, the innkeepers do not in any way live up to the claim that can be found on the Internet: “We are a small, fine mountain inn/tavern”. The menu has shrunk to a minimum due to a lack of staff and apparently only Convenient is warmed up in the microwave. Fantastic location, very friendly staff and delicious Swiss specialties. However, as is usual in Switzerland, not comparable to our prices.
