excellent place and eat. had red snapper and panang curry. beautiful staff and greeted with a cold wet towel to wipe her face. will probably come back during my stay! although the koks here in Thailand is not the same as in sweden, so would have to calm with a singha instead of the spicy eating. What Heike Faber doesn't like about Gold Elephant:
The duck was really good, the Pad Thai was ok at best. For our taste, very close to the typical German Thai. Very crowded, probably also because of the “insider tip”. This place is amazing! a little pricier than it dazzles, but they added some nice touches. a cold rolled towel served in the arrival, meals served in the most beautiful pots and dressed. very fast and with a small professionalism. this is a place to go for her dinner. we are going back to the final. fyi, daily 2 next door is also incredible and intimate and fun with live music. avoid sun star siam terrible. very slow service, poor quality eating.
Here we had the best pad thai with huh during our two weeks stay in khao lak. great service, very friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere. one of the few places they welcome with a cold wet towel when they arrive.
Our favorite restaurant in the world! we have visited Thailand twice several years and this place is the best Thai food you can get! can't make it in any wise mistake, perfection on a teller!
Amazing food and service. Very good wine selection available. Felt very welcomed when we arrived even though we hadn't booked. Staff could not be more helpful and attentive. Best restaurant we visited whilst in Khao Lak. Well recommended.
Pricey, but gross. friendly staff. most customers are strange, but also good for thais.
