It's not your typical North Philly Asian takeout place. It's a clean welcoming roomy restaurant that caters to authentic as well as Chinese-american cuisine. The food is well priced and their new menu has variety. Pork fried rice and beef/fish over hot chilli oil are favorites of mine View all feedback.

Don't waste your money here. I ordered delivery on May 3rd. I had pork egg foo young, an egg roll and 4 chicken wings. The pork egg foo young had overcooked, smallpieces of pork in it. The pork had an odd, sweet taste. The egg roll was tough, chewy and didn't have much flavor. The wings, although they were tasty, were not worth $8.25. This place is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but here I go the most. The crew is very receptive and the cooking they serve is so fresh and tasty. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.
The prices aren't bad and the food was ok It could have been better the staff is pretty friendly and they get your food to you hot and fast not bad for a quick bite (I ordered the szechuan beef combo with fried rice)
China Star is the BEST Chinese Takeout restaurant in the area! Staff is always happy and super kind. And the food is amazing! Me and my gf are repeat customers and love the General Tso’s Chicken and Plain Broccoli, best around. 5 stars would definitely recommend!

They offer a great variety of delicious food. I love eating here. Employees are always very nice, rates are reasonable and the place is always well organised.
