What User likes about Schroedter's Market:
An unassuming little roadside cafe and bakery that takes Gluten Free very seriously. (I think they have a separate kitchen just for making Gluten Free products.) large selection of Gluten Free products.We were on our way to Sandbanks Park (which has a beautiful beach) which has limited food....so, we picked up a picnic at Schroedters Market. What User doesn't like about Schroedter's Market:
Based on reviews I had read, I was expecting to find a "hidden gem". I did not. The food was OK, but for $ 17 for a sandwich and soup or salad combo I expected better. The ham and bean soup tasted like vegetable broth with the beans and ham added at the end of cooking. Not much flavour at all. The sandwiches were OK, not great, not terrible. For quick hunger in between, Schroedter's Market from Picton offers fine sandwiches, small salads, and other treats, as well as hot and cold drinks, You can take a break at the bar with a cool beer or other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Of course, we must not forget the extensive selection of coffee and tea specialties in this restaurant.

not a great choice, but pleasant. we felt that the prices were quite high, but understand the limited season for the business.
