"We just accidentally found this place. We were driving to Corpus Christi from Houston. My husband ordered a Hinze burger , it was Super Pathetic. It said Bar B Q sauce on it , it had absorbed into the bun , meat was overcooked , onions were not cooked , the only thing that saved it , I gave him some of my meatloaf to put on it. I had the lunch special , meatloaf with fried okra tasted like it was made in grandmother's kitchen right after being picked and washed) and blackeyed peas , had ham bits. A piece of homemade bread with REAL BUTTER!! IT was all delicious. My meatloaf was perfect it had just the right amount of onion and bell pepper. It was a thick, huge slice that could have been split and just added extra sides. It held together , even when sliced and had a very good sauce on top , bar b q , I think. We took a piece of pecan brittle to go . It was PERFECT , very buttery , and perfect crunch , not too soft and not breaking teeth. . Service was self-serve , they brought food out , but you got drinks and refills. Will stop again, if in area."

"Ms Catrice was the star of the establishment making every single person that walked thru the door feel welcome. She greeted everyone with a big smile and a heartfelt welcome. She made our stop a great one. I will definitely be returning as long as sheis there to greet me. If you haven't stopped by and meet her in person in the morning. I would suggest you do. Great personalitywith a welcoming spirit."
