This restaurant is one of our favorites for Indian chicken curry and sukka chicken. It has recently been renovated and is a great spot for family dining, with separate seating areas for families and non-family groups. In addition to delicious non-vegetarian options like mutton sukka, chicken sukka, and butter chicken, they also offer tasty vegetarian dishes such as matki, pithale bhakri, and vangyache bharit. What Aishwarya Subramanian doesn't like about Ranjai:
The food quality at this restaurant is very poor. The non-vegetarian dishes are not authentic and the vegetable dishes are also not good. It seems like the kitchen is not well-maintained and the food lacks the true flavors of Hungarian cuisine. Additionally, the dining experience is often disrupted by noisy children. View all feedback.
First things first, the food is good. We started with masala papads which were ok. Main course of mutton sukka (starters, ) and mutton masala with jwari bhakri was satisfactory and made to order, not too spicy and well cooked. Service is quick and satisfactory.Few things that hit us was :the seating is quite basic. Preferably order bottled water 30/bottleSeating areas on the sides bear a stink from the outside added the ladies toilet, which brings in a stink with flow of air.Maybe this was the disappointing point.

One standout dish is their alani rice, cooked in the broth of the chicken and incredibly flavorful. Non-vegetarians should definitely give it a try.

Overall, the food at this restaurant was good. We began with Masala-Pavs which were tasty. Our main course, which included mutton sukka and mutton masala with jwari bhakri, was satisfying and well-cooked. The service was fast and efficient. The only downside was the seating, which was not very comfortable. It is recommended to order bottled water as the tap water may not be of good quality. Additionally, the seating near the street can sometimes carry an unpleasant smell from outside, including in the restroom. This was the only disappointing aspect of our dining experience.
