It can be a long and thirsty road when your travelling the top end. The road house is an intriguing and eclectic stop for either a bite to eat, fuel or something to quench the thirst.We stopped for the drink and something to eat quick and weren't disappointed. Don't expect silver tray service, this is thong and singlet service if your lucky. But the drink is cold, essential, the food good, so what more could you want... View all feedback.

We were motorcyclists enjoying a journey from Cooktown to Darwin. Near the end of our travels we rode through the Kakadu National Park. The day we arrived at the Mary River Roadhouse the temperature was 40 degrees. We pulled up under the shade of a picnic table shelter. This happened to be on quite unkempt grass.
