"As a foodblogger I probably shouldn't admit that I hadn't known that the Bridport Cafe had won the Australian Cafe of the Year Award in 2014, or maybe we should just be happy that we sniffed it out anyway!. It is set up in an old cottage on the top end of the main street, with a tree emerging from the decking outside. It was pretty busy outside so we ended up inside on one of the eclectic mix of tables. The breakfast menu covered the standard offerings..."

"Nice wine tasting $5, refunded with purchase , friendly service I think her name was Laurel? , and indoor and outdoor seating with a lovely view of the vineyard. After tasting or skip the tasting if you already know what you like! , you can purchase a couple of glasses of wine and some nibbles to enjoy the view. We got a cheese platter with generous amounts of cheese, yummy pickled green tomatoes, and lovely poached pear only an extra $3 for two cheeses, instead of just one selection ."

"A stunning winery in the midst of lush green vines. Jansz are expert, experienced makers of fine Tasmanian sparkling wine varieties. The Tasting Room is a very sophisticated affair with knowledgeable staff able to fill you in on all things vintage sparkling. A most enjoyable experience. Beautiful decor."

"It is always a joy to discover precious stones in small towns. I had made the sweet potato and black bohnenburger, with vegan circumcisions. the burger was big and healthy, the bungalow was light and fluffy, and the salat fresh and crisp. overall it was kind of easy and satisfying. one of the most beautiful veggie burgers I had."

"After thinking we’d tried all the wine the Tamar Valley had to offer, we went to Bay of Fires winery on a cool Sunday morning and loved every single second. This was one of the best cellar door experiences, which just happens to coincide with exceptional wines. Couldn’t recommend a visit more highly."

"The fish and chips just didn't taste and feel like they were cooked in good oil and it was just a bit on the expensive side for me. 3 stars. EDIT: Since my last review the food has vastly improved. Though I still think it can be a little pricey! 4 stars."
