"We stayed in the annex, the room was very spacious and comfortable, however the guest next door could have snored for Scotland and won no problem...this was nothing to do with the hotel of course. The food is very good with large helpings, we would gladly return here but perhaps not to the annex...."

"I do a lot of hiking and foraging in this area as it is a handy location by train from Edinburgh and usually go to local competition but visited here today and found food much better than elsewhere. Will definitely be back!"

"Very friendly welcome. We opted for a main dish and dessert. The dishes were provided with extremely fresh and finely seasoned vegetables. The plates were a feast for the eyes. There was no pressure, free to enjoy to the fullest. Important': reservation is desirable."
