"I must agree with others that I do not believe that they have perfected the vegan waffel recipe, but I appreciate any restaurant that tries to offer us. as this is said, it was still a decent waffel. the latte was delicious and the location on the water was beautiful. I would go back, but hopefully they will refine their waffel recipe in the future."

"We come to Tamarindo yearly and have eaten at almost every restaurant in town. This place has really great wings, burgers and the best milkshakes ever. Open and airy with lots of TVs on the walls to entertain the kids while we eat. Coming from a culinary background, we are a family of major food snobs and we often get disappointed at restaurants. Surf Shack is by far our favorite restaurant in Tamarindo."

"They were so helpful! I had no doubt after consulting with Stephano on what's app that the gf pasta is always cooked in fresh/new water and that all sauces were gf. I loved the mushroom pasta! It was amazing! My husband and two little boys raved about the pizza (although not gf, looked and smelled delicious)."

"Best meal I’ve had in Costa Rica! The filet was amazing, chicken enyucados were so flavorful, drinks were fantastic, and service was great. Absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Will be back before leaving Tamarindo!"
