Great place to take the kids fishing. Has toilets available at the beach, if you want to go. Or change to go for a dip in the sea. Plenty of parking on street....

"Wow wow wow WOW! I'm a big fan of Indian food and this place was one of my favorites. The food was absolutely delicious, the little window to the kitchen to watch the naan being cooked was really cool, and the owner/manager came over himself to make sure everything was to our liking, to which with stuffed mouths we just kept nodding our heads yes "

"We have been going to Pandan since they were in Tawa. As a family who love Malaysia and local food, this restaurant is better than local Malay, we feel so lucky they are only 20 main away from Johnsonville. We celebrate as many of our family occasions here that we can. From the goat curry, to the claypot fish, it is all a heavenly delight. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$30–40"

"This place has been my go-to Indian restaurant in Upper Hutt since I moved here. I always ordered takeaways but decided to dine in this time. Ordered prawn masala like usual but received saag instead. Told the lady it wasn't what I ordered, but she was quite insistent that I was wrong and she was right. It was embarrassing and disappointing experience."

"Terrible service arrived 5 minutes early to the booking at 8pm and table was not ready so we had to go outside and wait. there was a 55 minute wait on the mains and 40 minute wait on dessert by the time we had finished it was past 10pm. food was great but wasn't at all worth the wait. the bill was super expensive and we felt ripped off. we ended up feeling very disappointed and let down, as we were looking forward to going to a nice restaurant. ive previously worked in hospitality and id be really embarrassed making patrons wait more than an hour for food. not on the wait staff but a pretty bad reflection on management. apart from this, serivce was friendly and drinks were good just a shame that the massive wait times put a damper on the night."
