"One thing that beckoned to us as we planned our short time in Sardegna was Spaghetti alla Bottarga. Bottarga is the cured egg sack of a fish (fish roe) that is shaved over pasta as a condiment or main course, and is a specialty in Sardegna. Unfortunately, we didn't really find good parking spots to go along with all of the towns we stopped in between Castelsardo and our agriturismo in Alghero area, so we were getting nervous about finding a lunch place. It turned out to work in our favor, as I desperately saw a stand-alone restaurant on the side of the road in seemingly-the-middle-of-nowhere-place-between-two-towns. I hopped out and asked the owner, Vito, if they were indeed open per pranzo, and was relieved to hear that YES, we could have lunch there! It all worked out for the best as I was able to eat Bottarga for my very first meal in Sardegna. We were able to try two different octopus salad antipasti, wifey had pasta with astice (lobster), and an adorable looking gnoccheti with some kind of sausage, and I of course was taken with the bottarga. Add to that probably the best pane carasau we had the entire trip, and Ristorante Da Vito gets major points in our book!"

"I was here last night for my cousin's birthday. from the beginning we found ourselves very well, we were greeted by a very kind staff very prepared on every kind of dish on the menu. while having a quantity of meat to choose from, we opted for the Giromanzo (five cuts and different types of beef) that from the first mouth made us dream so much to ask the bis and tri of two specialties. meat really cooked well and super soft, melted in the mouth. we accompanied everything with cagnulari and an excellent Sardinian craft beer. the price was very honest for everything we ate and for the quality of the products, I recommend you try this place because you will not regret it. I add that they also own a five-foot football field for those who want to first enjoy a small party with friends and then a good dinner!"

"Local really pleasant aesthetically, the location raises so much the score. The mediocre food, do not expect to eat anything authentic. Good nachos and chili, but very poor meat grill. Very abundant portions. In response to the owners: What I expected is a quality of meat (and cooking meat) at least a little higher than what you can get by throwing a piece of supermarket meat on a pan. Besides, my age is not written anywhere. I therefore assume you have done a research on me, which I do not think is quite professional. I add that you do not know me, and speculate on others' lives to try to save their reputation after a bad review is in my eyes again unprofessional. I would focus more on the quality of your food and less on me."
