Yep it’s a foible but I like butter on toast, in sandwiches, rolls, baguettes etc. So very disappointed yesterday to find that in this otherwise OK unassuming little cafe, they only spread KerryMaid, one of those spun emulsions made from rapeseed and palm vegetable oils with a bit of buttermilk. I may be in a pathetically small minority of food faddists but toast spread with a vegetable substitute is nether palatable... read more.
