What User doesn't like about The Vine:
The Vine used to have one of the best atmosphere's of any pub in Plymouth. Whilst the atmosphere has gone, it's still a good place to sit and wait for the small passenger ferry to mount Edgecombe. View all feedback.
This pub is known as the first and last pub in Devon, as it is located just before the Cremyll passenger ferry. It is a small, straightforward pub that is popular with locals and visitors heading to Plymouth. While the food may not be anything special, it is a reliable option if you are looking for a drink. I have never personally tried the food here, but it seems to be a decent spot for a quick drink.
This small, charming pub is frequented by local fishermen and boatmen, serving traditional pub food and great beer. Despite its slightly run-down exterior, the interior is full of interesting memorabilia, including an aerial photograph of Plymouth taken by the Luftwaffe during World War II. The landlord, Craig, is knowledgeable about the pub's history and the local area, and his friendly dog, Billy, adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The locals are also friendly, making for a pleasant visit. The pub is conveniently located near the pedestrian ferry from Cremyll, allowing visitors to watch as passengers arrive and depart. If you're using the ferry, this pub is definitely worth a visit.
