What Peter P likes about Magenta:
We have eaten here about ten times, little changes apart from the migration of student staff to higher things. We have never had a bad meal or reason to feel unhappy at the level of service. It 's our kind of restaurant, basic, busy and a certain simple charm. The food never fails, the wine glasses are a bit 'triste ' but complain and out come the Christmas specials. It's been 2 years since we last visited, we loved this place. Tonight has killed the loved. The smell of burning electrics throughout dinner was off putting, however the brusque, far too busy service was the topping on a mediocre meal. Such a shame they are too busy to be attentive. Ah well, all dreams fade and so has out love of magenta, the food was ok, the service rushed and less than attentive. read more.
