"The German bakery gets pretty busy during the high season (nov to jan) so the waiting is long and sometimes you won’t even find a seat. You may end up sharing a table with strangers in their lovely terrace facing Arunachala! This is an open restaurant with no air conditioning and bohemian look. I was there a couple of times during December 2015, one time during lunch hours it was so crowded that I had to take my food to go. For this I waited for a long time; the waiter probably forgot about me because when I went to the counter to ask, they didn’t remember what I had ordered. The good thing is that they are friendly and pretty much they adjust to your needs. If you are vegetarian, have some food allergies, or prefer non spicy food, they will prepare dishes without chili and so on. Also they have all kind of breads, and for coffee lovers, the best cappuccino in town. They won’t charge for the container which is common in Tiru when you order to go."

"Normally it is not easy to find out accommodation here in seasonal timing .. unless your a foreigner, VIP or celebrity. . Illayaraja Tamil musician have a separate isolated accommodation here people are saying and also I have seen his car .. nice food .. only guest can access food hall... otherwise you can't .. maintenance is good .. staying here is prestigious one.? Visit once and try to stay ..here .. feel the experience. . Because it is not easy to describe. . General opinion not suits ... I think so .."

"They recently moved to Thamarai Nagar, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu 606601 (at Ramana Towers). Tasty Cafe is a family-run cozy vegetarian restaurant with freshly prepared homemade tasty dishes. The mood is very quiet, warm and friendly. They offer traditional Indian dishes as well as...more to Western sponges, such as pizza, pasta, omelet, salad etc. There are also a variety of freshly pressed juices! And they always have special special specialties daily; Things that emphasise: they do everything by reason! Tomato sauce from fresh tomatoes that they use in a variety of their dishes! Fresh homemade yogurt and jam! And very important: they use filtered water in their kitchen. They also sell some of their homemade foods such as yogurt, jam, bread, cookies and much more as well as fresh local products. Prices are very affordable for a restaurant with mostly western guests, especially compared to Dreaming Tree. I absolutely recommend this place. It's a jewel."

"A surprising little gem this one. A little difficult to get to but once you get there it has such an inviting ambience with great organic food, you find it hard to leave. Comfortable seating, a great view and good masala tea welcome you. Once you get over the the dos and fonts you can sit back and relax. The Italian ice cream was great and the owner vijay and his team were helpful. A must do if you are in the area. Maybe a visit to the Ramana ashram will lead us there next time."
