We ate here 3 nights and enjoyed the food, the service and the whole atmosphere. Limpets were small but so tasty. Yes they give you a bottle of wine and charge you per glass, always to my benefits! I had beef, veal and pork on different nights and enjoyed them all. It has the feel of a place real people eat and it was packed every night. We eat early at 18:30 and watched the folks to include locales roll in! View all feedback.

You sometimes hear people refer to a place as being an honest restaurant : well that would apply here. It 's nothing fancy, and the interior is a bit bright; television going in the corner. But this isn 't trying to be something that it 's not and the number of locals in there tells you that. Prices are decent compared to many of the others around in the old town, and the food was good if nothing to wow. I had a glas... View all feedback.
It had a nice environment, friendly staff. We enjoyed the chicken and boiled vegetables. It had outside seating and was just up from the square. And good prices

I had a glass of white wine, at which a bottle was opened, glass poured, and then the bottle left on the table; Drink what you 'd like, and just pay for what you drink . I did and they were absolutely fair. I found this a nice friendly place for a good, simple, local meal. Recommended.
A light lunch of fried mackerels and wine hit the spot. It is a simple place, nothing fancy but the meal was very good. The owner was friendly (the man in the photo). There is an old picture of him with Julio Iglesias on the wall, lol!
OK, first of all I don't get any of the bad reviews on this place. It has definitely got exceptionally good food (top 3 fish dishes ever! . We had a boca negra and scabbard. Both deliciously flavored and grilled to perfection : Staff is efficient friendly, they def know what they're doing and people giving a bad review apparently don't... Or had a different team in the kitchen... anyway I'll def come back. *drool*
We ate here on our last night in PDL in late June 2019. Although we had limpets elsewhere, we tried them here because they seemed to be a specialty. We were a little hesitant because of the picture menu usually that makes us nervous. But the limpets were much better than those we had elsewhere. Grilled with olive oil, unadulterated, fresh. We had grilled fish (I had swordfish; forget what my wife had) for the main course, which was also quite good. Indeed, at most of the places in PDL, the grilled local fish is a reliable choice, always fresh. Overall, this place deserves to be ranked much, much higher. We would definitely go again.
