"Friendly local irrigation hole. We were looking for a place to wet our pipes and take a cargo on Saturday afternoon, after a morning whale watching and a visit to the Carlos Muchada Museum. The hotel bar did not appeal, and not much more was open, so we had a chance. Wine for me, beer for my husband and a Portuguese Premier League football game on TV, PERFECT!!!"

"This is a superb restaurant, and I recommend for anyone coming to Sao Miguel. I went without a reservation around 7pm and they took me right away. The service was first rate, and everyone was so kind. I had the limpets and the tuna, which was the fresh catch of the day. Everything was so good, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Stop and try this restaurant it was so good!"

"We were a group of 5 for dinner. We reserved online and arrived at 7pm before restaurant was filled. Couple of tables with small groups at the same time. It took about 15-20 minutes for waiter to take our order, not a problem at this point. We were enjoying the ambience! We received appetizers within 15 minutes and continued to enjoy the evening. By 8:50 pm we were served coffee to finish the evening and paid the bill. We were sipping slowly the very tall hot coffees . The waiter started pouring cold milk in coffees until we told him to stop and then he informed us that our table was booked for 9pm for another group and we had to leave. Minutes later he came to remove all dishes and our coffees from the table until we stopped him. He continued to repeat that we must leave and we are making the other group late. The waiter continued to argue with us to move. We finally by 9:15pm finished coffees and decided were were not welcome and left, never to experience this place again. We were not informed at the beginning of arrival that our table were booked for 9pm and we have 2 hours to order and eat. They took time to take our order even when they were not busy. The waiter visited us regularly to push more drinks or food onto us like a car salesman. He brought drinks we did not order to boost sales. It started like amazing place but turned into a very uncomfortable place to experience. The food is extremely expensive for what you get also. The value was not there."

"This is definitely one of the best restaurants in São Miguel Island. A must for all to go to Ponta Delgada. The staff was very friendly and professional. Ambient was quiet and well furnished. The food is just delicious. Was there more than once and everything was always good. The restaurant is not big and it is always full, so it is advisable to book a table in advance. Recommend this place and I hope I can visit again when I return to Azores."
