São Pedro - Ponta Delgada

Wonderful! The service was excellent as the food. I ordered a steak dish that had a wonderful sauce and unique fried potatoes. The sparkling water was impressive. Sorry about the lack of sophistication, but travel and writing on the fly....

Just a fantastic experience, fantastic food and such a friendly ambience! The restaurant, about 20 years in continuous operation, is just a few steps from the Marginal (the coastal area along the central Avenida Infante Dom Henrique); it took us about two minutes walk from our Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico. To say the menu is extensive is a serious understatement. It is simply endless with various appetizers, tons of fish and meat dishes as well as delicious desserts. The prices are very budget-friendly, the portion sizes are huge. The owner, Jôao Chaves, is not only an excellent restorer and a great guy, but also a very talented photographer. You can even purchase the prints of his pictures displayed on the walls, both as hard copies and as digital sequences. Everything and everything, we cannot recommend Sâo Pedro very much. Simply put, just a jewel of a restaurant.

I absolutely loved this place. We loved it so much that our trip to finish our last dinner here again! Great staff. Unbelievable food! Very recommend to try it. Just make sure you make a reservation as it can be occupied!

You won't tell it from outside, but it's a really great restaurant with local specialties, nice staff and welcoming atmosphere. Lapas served in a sizzling hot pan was incredibly delicious. 5 star recommendation.

Wonderful! Amazing! Great! We were only about 6 days in Azores and went twice to this restaurant. The staff was great, but the food was even GREATER!! Actually, it was my 10-year-old who asked to return there because her fried calamari and shrimp pasta was so great! All their seafoods were fantastic...fresh. And! Also the Octopus was to THE FOR! I had it for the first time and then my husband had it when we came back. When we go back to Ponta Delgada, this is definitely the place we need to visit.
