"I want to start saying that there aren't places like this in Perugia and that's definitely a plus! I liked the look of it, modern with a retro touch, very nice. Nice selection of wines with some organic ones, wine list not big but a lot of good ones. I was expecting more from the food to be honest, the names of the dishes are tempting but a little short on the execution. On the gnocchi with basil cream and shaved scallops I was dreaming of a shaved dehydrated scallop and it was just a couple of pan-fried ones, didn't understand the aria on top that was flavourless. The beef tartare was a very good quality meat and a very big portion for the price. The cacio e pepe pasta was very good as the tagliata of patanegra. A little issue with the foie gras that for me was not a pure 100% duck but I was obviously wrong when they did show me the tin. I can only say that as a chef I would not serve that quality of foie gras as the flavour is not what I expect. In general a place to go to and go again, very good products but the kitchen has to improve."

"This place was recommended by our estate agent and he was right: the food was amazing, service was very good (friendly and good timing), location superb, but...as they don 't have a printed menu you have no idea about the prices. The surprise comes at the end and they clearly use different prices for locals and tourists. We got a bill of 76 Euro for lunch (1 antipasti, 2 primi, 2 secondi, 1/2 ltr aqua, 1/2 ltr red wine, 2 coffee, 1x vegetable 2x coperti. They must have felt that is was too high and reduced the bill to 60 Euro, which is still on the high side. Looking at other recensions I estimate that the 'normal ' price, including desert should be around 40 Euro for 2 people. So let 's say 20-25 Euro p.p.. We will come back for their amazing food, but will have a chat with the owner before sitting down."

"Attractive restaurant with a lovely view. Amuse-bouches were clever and generous, and most were good. Pasta course with crispy pork cheeks excellent. Beef course, described as a filet was very disappointing. Despite being ordered medium rare, it was cooked well-done, and it was definitely not a choice cut of meat: not a filet mignon, which is what we expected. It looked and tasted like dry pot roast. The chef presented another beef dish by way of apology, and it was a better cut of meat, cooked super-rare. Very likely you 'll get an excellent meal here, but don 't order the beef cube."

"Like the previous reviewer, we spotted this delightful little restaurant unexpectedly, as we were wandering the wonderful alleys and side streets of Assisi. We were a group of five friends and one of our members needed a light meal. We were attracted by the Zuppe di Lentil on the menu board and the cheery smiling face of the hostess at the doorway. We hoped to meet Nonna Nini, but it turns out she was the great grandmother of the present owners and was receiving her heavenly reward. Nonetheless we were made to feel immediately welcome and comfortable. The food was fantastic and with five in our party we tasted quite a sample of what was on the menu. We were uniformly impressed. As well as great food so good in fact we asked the chef to come out and take a bow), every little detail was looked after. The decor was great, including a portrait of Nonna Nini herself, and some sketching by her grandson. The wine was excellent and very well priced, the bathrooms were commodious, clean and well presented, and special provision had been made for persons with disabilities."
